The artist duo HERAKUT was founded in 2004 when Jasmin Siddiqui (aka "Hera" of Frankfurt am Main) and Falk Lehmann (aka "Akut" of Schmalkalden) merged their names, as well as their styles. Ever since then, they have been traveling the world telling stories with spray cans, brushes and rollers in large-scale murals, gallery shows and charity projects. This particular installation inside THE HAUS was inspired by all the hate-speech and fear-mongering of those dangerously ignorant nationalists in Europe and the US. We feel like our playground, our safe-place, has been invaded, and we need to start acting before our imagination sees nothing but darkness. Therefore, we chose a title that is a motto we strongly believe in: "We need to teach our children love, or someone else will teach them hate."
