Known mainly as a singer, Urzula Amen debuted into the art scene not long ago, when her lyrics and voice did not suffice to beam her message into the world. Her most contemporary subject is the industrial way of life today and how mankind is losing its connection to nature. Amen’s artwork mirrors the way we utilize and conquer nature, and is simultaneously a hail to the beauty of patterns and textures in nature. Her 3-dimensional creations give the viewer an impression of diversity, repetition, universal laws and the structural designs that we live in.

For the first time using the medium of an installation, the native Swede calls into question the general public’s trust in the synthetic ingredients that are in everyday products. It is a call for sanity. Or a call for rebellion against industry.
